School Dress code Help?
I go to a school with a strict dress code. The girls have to wear a box pleaded skirt that comes below the knee, mid-calf socks, button down shirt, and tie. The only problem I have is the shoes. We can not wear baby-doll shoes, flats, or heels. ONLY Tennis Shoes! I wear a size 9 or 10 in tennis shoes plus I’m very petite and a skirt with that would look razy with my big feet. So do you have any ideas of what kind of shoe that will make my feet look smaller or anyting that will draw the attention away from my feet. PLEASE HELP!
ouch! your dress code is painful!!! if youre allowed to wear converse, go for them, they’ll make your feet look smaller, if not then just get the least bulky tennis shoe available in a dark color!! best of luck with the uniform!

Getting Ready For Spring…Battling My Personal Enemy
Spring is here and it’s time to leave that cold, dark winter season behind us and step into the warm, bright season of spring. Spring is a time for change and renewal. We all know how hard change can be sometimes for all of us. It’s a time to peel off those wintery layers we subconsciously hide behind and show our true inner beauty. I don’t know about you but, generally in the wintery cold weather, all I want to do is hibernate and cuddle up on the couch with a warm cup of tea. Although doing so does not get daily tasks accomplished nor help to keep me motivated. I sit and dread the day that it’s too sunny and warm outside to wear my cozy sweat suit out to run errands and I am forced to come out of my comfort zone.
Spring means warm, gorgeous weather and, for me, that will mean less clothing, more skin…..my “personal enemy.” It means that we begin to wear cute little tank-tops, shorts, sun-dresses, open-toed shoes revealing all of the things most of us plus size women dread wearing. So what do we do? We can’t just spend another season hiding in our cozy “cover-all” clothing. It’s a time to reevaluate our thoughts and put them into a whole new positive perspective and get motivated. Thinking that just because I am carrying a few extra pounds does not mean I can’t enjoy this weather as much as the next woman. Focusing on the fun I will be missing out on by staying inside and hibernating always helps me break out of that oh-so familiar comfort zone.
This spring I have decided to turn a new leaf and take baby steps into approaching my personal enemy. I’ve decided that, as the weather begins to warm up, I will integrate essential spring pieces into my wardrobe slowly. Here are some great basic essentials from Sealed with a Kiss Designs that I love and will help you tackle perhaps your own personal enemy and help get your spring wardrobe off to a great start. So there you have it, my master plan on confronting spring my “personal enemy” and breaking into this season of change with a positive perspective. Remember that baby steps are okay, but no matter what, always love yourself and the skin you are in!

Why can’t my mom let me be?
Hi. I have a problem. My mom is girly. She’s as girly as they get but she’s plus-sized so she can’t wear cute things. She’s mad because I don’t care about being fashionable and I can wear all the fashionable stuff. You know what I wear. I dress in parka’s, jackets, rain coats, sweaters, turtlenecks, t-shirts, blouses, bootcut/flare jeans, sweatpants, socks, boots, tennis shoes, shoulder strap bags, headbands, and barrettes. Mom wants me to wear skirts, dresses, and heels and MAKEUP. I don’t like skirts or dresses. I’m clumsy so heels would NOT help! And I feel that makeup is a pain. All I do in the morning is put in my contacts, wash my face, put on moisturizer/sunscreen, brush my teeth and hair, dress, put on lip balm, and go. What should I do? Should I just start being girly?
I think you should be yourself. You won’t feel pretty or comfortable unless you dress the way you want. But you should buy a few things that you know your mom would like just to make her happy ( you don’t have to wear it often).
