As long as your essay is good (esp. to overcome your weak SAT writing score), you should be a competitive candidate at UWashington and a fairly safe bet at Western Washington. Your GPA and class rank are definitely better than the average candidate’s.
If I were you, I’d think really hard and try to come up with another activity you’ve done for more than 1 year (it looks like you’re just doing all these things to put something on your college application, which is not looked upon favorably).

Filipe Teixeira released by West Bromwich Albion
West Bromwich Albion have released Portuguese winger Filipe Teixeira.
The Premier League club have decided not to take up an option to extend the 29-year-old’s deal for another year. He joined the Baggies from Portuguese side Academica de Coimbra for £600,000 in July 2007 but suffered a cruciate ligament injury in March 2008. He had been struggling to reclaim a place in the West Brom team and went on loan to Barnsley for the last three months of the 2009/10 campaign. Teixeira made 62 appearances for West Brom, scoring five goals and played in 14 games for the Tykes after joining them in February. In his absence, the Baggies were promoted to the top flight in April after one season in the Championship. “Filipe is a good pro and gave everything for Albion,” West Brom’s sporting director Dan Ashworth told the club website. “He had a fantastic first season with the club in the Championship until he got injured. After that it was difficult for him to get a run in the team.”

New signing Andrew Surman says he only has one aim in mind after moving to join the Canaries – promotion to the Premier League.

I am 15 and am on my high school tennis team. I was wondering which brand of racket is the best and which last the longest, etc. please give as much detail/links as possible thanks!
its all personal preference. each brand plays differently because of its design (but there are better brands). for example, wilson has their pro-staff tech. which makes their raquets play differently then head’s flexpoint or liquidsteel. you have to find out what kind of style you play, and use the raquet that brings out your best qualities.
ask yourself this question. Power or Control? raquets with smaller headsizes usually give more control, but you sacrafice “sweet spot” size. larger headsizes are more forgiving, and more power. thicker frames usually give you more of a solid feel, and therefore more power. But with a thicker frame, you have less spin access. lighter raquets are faster and easier to control, but when you hit the ball off-center, your wrist will twist and will mess up your shot. strings that are more open will spin better, but they wear easier and youll have to restring more often. Also, find out if you like your raquets balanced, head-heavy, or headlight. Headheavy will your swings more momentum and a powerhit, but most professionals use headlight for control.
My favorite brand is Wilson. Look for “player raquets”, or the kind that professionals use, they play better, but their expensive. Dont go for the “recreational raquets.”
for control, look into Wilson Prostaff and K-Factors. They’re heavy, headlight, with smaller headsizes. Its all about control for these. for power, look at Wilson Hammer Technology. large head sizes, light but headheavy. and its all about power for these.

If you go to Tennis-Warehouse.com youll find that some of the raquets have been tested by their players. They score each property (like power, control, spin, etc.) of the raquet on a scale of 1 to 100. Read each players stance on the raquet to learn more about it. And you can test raquets for free! (but you have to pay for shipping.)
